Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ‘wanted Chelsea deal in January’ but move collapsed

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang priced himself out of a move to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea refused to match his wage demands. Arsenal’s star goalscorer was reportedly open to a controversial mid-season switch across London. Frank Lampard has since secured the signing of Germany hitman Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
