Marc Overmars to leave Ajax for Arsenal this summer?

Ajax's director of football Marc Overmars will reportedly return to Arsenal this summer in order to take a place on Arsene Wenger's coaching staff.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed terms with Marc Overmars over a return to North London next summer.

During his playing days, Overmars swapped Ajax for Arsenal and went on to score 38 goals in 141 appearances for the Gunners, and it appears that the same switch could be in the offing now.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Overmars - who is currently director of football at the Dutch giants - will change roles and take a place on Arsene Wenger's coaching staff.

The 44-year-old only recently penned a long-term contract with Ajax, but it has been suggested that Overmars has already said that he will move to the Premier League outfit for a second stint.

Overmars has been director of football at Ajax since 2012 while before that, the ex-winger gained some coaching experience with the youth side.
