Monaco: Only two clubs were serious about signing Mbappe

Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev says that only two clubs were ever really in contention for Kylian Mbappe. Mbappe was the hottest property in world football this summer, and eventually opted to join Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal. That move will become permanent for a fixed sum in 12 months, as PSG beat Real Madrid to the teenager's signature. Vasilyev says other clubs 'were really circling around' the striker, but never entered serious negotiations.
