Arsenal a step closer to sealing £80million transfer as potential rivals pull out

Bayern Munich's withdrawal of their interest in Thomas Lemar will come as a major boost for Arsenal and Liverpool who are eyeing a move for the Monaco star. The winger was close to joining the Gunners on transfer deadline day but the move fell through as there was not enough time to finalise the deal. According to Football London, both of the aforementioned teams have an even chance of capturing the 21-year-old's signature with Liverpool courting Philippe Coutinho replacements with strong suggestions he may leave for Barcelona during next summer.
