Arsene Wenger has confirmed that contract talks are ongoing with Mesut Ozil amid reports that he has been offered close to £300,000 a week. The German has been excellent in recent weeks and the Arsenal manager has reportedly given his approval to an improved offer after he turned down £235,000 a week. Manchester United and Barcelona have both been linked with Ozil but Wenger said: 'Negotiations are always going on with everybody. Our door is always open.
