Arsenal to make reduced bid for Southampton midfielder
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a reduced fee of £15 million with Southampton for French midfielder Morgan Scheiderlin, according to the Daily Mirror. The Gunners – who face Reading at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday – are determined to add a defensive midfielder to their squad next season and have identified Schneiderlin as their top target. The 25 year-old was heavily linked with a move away from St Mary's Stadium at the beginning of the campaign and was believed to be priced at around £25 million but the Saints are reportedly prepared to settle for a lower offer.
