Arsenal consider pay-as-you-play deal for Abou Diaby

Arsenal still want to give Abou Diaby a final chance to resurrect his career and will consider a pay-as-you-play deal or an arrangement that allows him to continue training at the club even if he does not prove his first team fitness by the end of the season. Diaby has been back playing with the Under-21 team over recent weeks following a horrific sequence of injuries, although he was absent from the squad last night that lost 3-2 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside.
