'Best performance in months' - Arsenal fans were delighted by unlikely driving force behind win

Arsenal extended their winning streak in all competitions to six on Sunday, defeating Southampton 3-2 in a dramatic encounter at the Emirates Stadium. The weekend's results mean the Gunners are now just three points behind fifth place Chelsea and if current form continues there's every chance that Arsene Wenger's outfit leapfrog last season's champions. With UEFA Europa League glory to play for too, by the end of May, this season may not have been quite as terrible as it threatened to be just a couple of months ago.
