Leah named PFA Young Player of the Year
Leah Williamson has been named PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year.
The 18-year-old only made her Women’s Super League debut a year ago, but has become an integral part of Pedro Martinez Losa’s first-team squad.
Williamson was also named England Women’s Youth Player of the Year in January and secured her country’s place in the Under-19s European Championships after converting a dramatic penalty re-take.
“I’m overwhelmed,” she said. “It’s amazing to be recognised by fellow players so I’m just very humbled.
