Mathieu Debuchy: 'Playing in World Cup would be magical'

Saint-Etienne defender Mathieu Debuchy has acknowledged that he is surprised to have given himself a realistic chance of representing France at this summer's World Cup. In January, Debuchy finally left Arsenal after a hugely disappointing spell at the Emirates Stadium but since returning to Ligue 1, the full-back has already picked up a Player of the Month award. Debuchy remains without an international appearance since September 2015, but the 27-cap Frenchman admits that he is thinking about a possible recall.
