Borussia Dortmund centre-back Manuel Akanji shone in Switzerland's impressive 1-1 draw with pre-tournament favourites Brazil in their opening World Cup group game on Sunday, and Arsenal fans have urged their club to sign the 22-year-old. The former Basel man lined up alongside Gunners new boy Stephan Lichtsteiner in the back four against Neymar and Co, but he and his defensive teammates produced a strong performance as they picked up what could be a valuable point in their bid to reach the knockout stages.
