Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made three new signings so far since he took over from Arsene Wenger at the helm of the Emirates. Stephan Lichtsteiner was the first to come through the welcome gates as he joined from Juventus on a free transfer. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno has signed from Bayer Leverkusen, while Sokratis has made the move from Borussia Dortmund. Emery has clearly prioritised bolstering the defence, and it is understandable why given how shaky the back line was in the closing stages of last season.
