Arsenal have reportedly told free agent Max Meyer to lower his wage demands if he wants to join the club. Meyer is available on a free transfer this summer after leaving Schalke 04 following the expiration of his contract at the start of this month. The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool, but both clubs are understood to have been put off by his demands for a salary of £4m per year.
