Last week, West Ham United fans received some disappointing – albeit not entirely shocking – news regarding Andy Carroll's fitness. The striker, who has been plagued by injuries over the last few years, is expected to be on the sidelines for three months after undergoing surgery on his ankle. Defender Winston Reid is looking at a similar timeline following an operation on his knee.
