Arsenal fans waved goodbye to a fan favourite in the summer as Jack Wilshere left the Gunners to join West Ham on a free transfer. Wilshere rose through the academy in North London to become a first-team favourite at the Emirates Stadium but his career with Arsenal was heavily affected by injury issues, which eventually played a key part in his exit.
