Arsenal paid around £35 million to prise 20-cap Germany international Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia in the summer of 2016. Since then, the centre-back has been a near ever-present in the heart of the Gunners’ defence. However, the 26-year-old has failed to live up to his price tag at the Emirates Stadium and is not a favourite with the Arsenal faithful.
