Arsene Wenger tips Calum Chambers to fill centre back void

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has ruled out signing another central defender because he believes Calum Chambers will challenge for the position next season. Chambers has made 23 Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season after signing for £16million from Southampton last summer, but has dropped down Wenger's pecking order. Wenger played Chambers in a variety of positions during the first half of the season, when he earned an England senior call-up, but the 20-year-old struggled at right-back; particularly in the defeat against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
