Olympiacos terminate Yaya Toure contract after three months at club

Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has had his Olympiacos contract terminated just three months after rejoining the club. The 35-year-old returned to the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in September, 12 years on from spending a season with the Greek giants. Toure, who became a free agent when his Man City contract expired in the summer, made two starts and two substitute appearances for Olympiacos before having his contract ripped up. A club statement read: "Olympiacos and Yaya Toure would like to announce to the fans that they have mutually agreed to end their cooperation.
