Barcelona 'make contact with Juan Mata'
Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has reportedly started to attract interest from Barcelona. Mata has less than six months left on his contract at Old Trafford and although the playmaker could still pen fresh terms, the possibility remains of a free transfer at the end of the season. Arsenal have been linked with an approach for the former Chelsea man but according to Goal, Barcelona are weighing up a possible move for the Spain international. The Catalan giants are well stocked for options in the final third, but an opportunity to bring in Mata without being required to pay a fee could prove too good to turn down.
