Pépé, Shawcross, Amaechi, Tierney – it’s all going on…
Morning all. I always believed that if one day Ryan Shawcross suffered a serious injury I’d celebrate. Not literally of course but in a smug kind of way. What he did to Aaron Ramsey deserved a bit of karma in my book but having seen him foot get stuck in the turf, his ankle bent and the clear agony he was in, I almost felt sorry for him. Actually, I did. For a few seconds. No joy inside though, just a kind of ‘now you know how it feels’ kind of thing. In reality though, the injuries the two players suffered couldn’t be further apart by comparison. One was reckless and brutal, yet unsurprising because of the type of player he is, the other was simply self inflicted through bad luck....
