Morning all. David Dein and Arsene Wenger seemed a match made in heaven at Arsenal. Prior to the Frenchman’s arrival, Dennis Bergkamp had arrived and from then onwards, both Dein and Wenger worked their magic. Dein off the pitch and Wenger on it and for the next few years, Arsenal were the best in England. It’s widely believed that Dein was the man who got things done, certainly transfers but a long time ago now, he waited too long before making one particular phone call to a certain rather dishy looking Frenchman. 1995 was the year and had his call to David Ginola been made earlier perhaps we might not have signed the great Dutchman.
