Liverpool enforcer beats competition from Mahrez and Aubameyang to scoop Premier League accolade

Joel Matip has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Premier League Player of the month for September. In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, the Liverpool defender won with 44% of the vote, beating Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, who finished in second place with 17%. Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mahrez's team-mate, Kevin De Bruyne, both took 14% of the vote, while Leicester City's Ricardo Pereira and AFC Bournemouth's Callum Wilson grabbed 7%.
