Arsenal and Tottenham lead host of clubs chasing Togo centre-back Djene Dakonam – report

Djene was the subject of a £12.8m bid from Monaco this month but it was swiftly rejected by Getafe. The Togolese defender helped Getafe to a staggering fifth-place finish in La Liga last season. Djene has made 22 appearances this campaign and Getafe are once again performing well, finding themselves in seventh. Everton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Southampton are all believed to be linked to the defender. However, it is Arsenal and Spurs who are the biggest clubs interested, according to the Sun.
