Wilshere Insists Pressure Was Off Arsenal Ahead Of FA Cup Win
It has been reported that Jack Wilshere believes there was very little pressure on Arsenal prior to Saturday’s FA Cup final. The Gunners broke a decade-long trophy drought by winning the 2014 cup with a 3-2 extra-time win over Hull City and midfielder Wilshere suggests that victory put them in good stead for the 4-0 hammering of Aston Villa at Wembley which saw the north London club win the prestigious competition for a record 12th time. “It’s different to last year when we had the pressure of no trophy for 10 years and it was almost as if we had to win it,” said Wilshere. “Of course we had to win the Cup as well but we could enjoy it more this time and take in the atmosphere and...
