Pablo Mari transfer details as permanent Arsenal deal confirmed

Arsenal have confirmed a permanent deal to sign Pablo Mari has been completed - and reports in Brasil claim it has set the Gunners back a total of £14.5million. The Spanish defender, ruled out for the rest of the season after picking up an ankle injury against Manchester City last week, has penned a four-year deal at the Emirates. Goal Brasil claim Arsenal paid a 5m loan fee to Flamengo when they signed Mari in January followed by a further 3m six months later. Activating a permanent deal will now see an extra 8m outlay taking his total cost to 16m in transfer fees to the Brazilian club.
