Report: Arsenal offered Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho for £9m
Barcelona have reportedly proposed a player-plus-cash deal with Arsenal that could see Philippe Coutinho head to the Emirates Stadium for just £9m. The La Liga giants are looking to get the Brazil international off their books following his return from a mixed season-long loan spell with Bayern Munich. Coutinho has admitted that he would like to return to the Premier League, where he starred in his five years with Liverpool, and Arsenal have been credited with an interest. Barcelona consider the Gunners as their best option to offload the 28-year-old and, according to The Independent, they are prepared to sell him in a cut-price deal.
