Maitland-Niles called up to England squad
Congratulations to Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who has received his first England call-up! Our Hale End graduate already had plenty of reason to smile on his 23rd birthday after being named Man of the Match in our Community Shield win over Liverpool – and now his weekend has got even better, after being named in Gareth Southgate’s side for the very first time.
Maitland-Niles will join up with the Three Lions for their UEFA Nations League games against Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday, September 5 and Denmark in Copenhagen on Tuesday, September 8.
Our midfielder is scheduled to meet up alongside the rest of the squad at St. George’s Park on Monday.
