Match report: Ipswich 1-2 Arsenal U-21s

WHAT HAPPENED George Lewis scored on his under-21s debut on Tuesday night as we sealed an impressive 2-1 win over Ipswich town in the Leasing.com Trophy. Prolific goalscorer Folarin Balogun also found the back of the net, while Mark McGuinness impressed as captain in the heart of our defence. We made a promising start to the game and looked dangerous on the break, but it was the hosts who opened the scoring when Jon Nolan converted Alan Judge’s cross inside the area. We didn’t let our heads drop, though, and following a spell of pressure on the stroke of half time, Lewis found space inside the area and fired into the bottom corner.
