Abou Diaby has left Arsenal after the club decided not to offer him a new contract - after nine years and 40 injuries. The French midfielder, who was plagued by knocks throughout his career, was the club's longest-serving first-team player, alongside Tomas Rosicky He made just 124 appearances for the Gunners, with his checkered injury record dating back to a horrifying broken leg he suffered after a tackle from Sunderland's Dan Smith in 2006.
