Arsenal 'closing in on Runar Alex Runarsson'

Arsenal are reportedly pressing to complete the signing of Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson as soon as possible. Earlier this week, deputy stopper Emiliano Martinez departed the Emirates Stadium to become number one at Aston Villa in a £20m deal. Rather than spend a big fee on a replacement, the Gunners have instead set their sights on bringing in Iceland international Runarsson. According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal want to sign the 25-year-old in time for the player to feature among the replacements against West Ham United on Saturday.
