Arsenal yet to start fresh contract negotiations with Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed the club have not started any negotiations with Alexandre Lacazette over a new contract. The Frenchman’s deal at the Emirates expires in 2022 and he has been regularly linked with a move away from the Gunners this summer. Lacazette put those thoughts behind him though as he scored in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over West Ham, maintaining the 100 per cent start to the new season. And with the transfer window still open for three more weeks, Arteta has hinted that any contract negotiations for Lacazette will have to wait. The boss said: “He's a player I'm really happy with.
