Lucas Torreira could play a key role in Thomas Partey’s transfer to Arsenal. The Uruguay international has slipped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta in recent months and he could be used to try and tempt Atletico Madrid into a deal. Partey has admitted his desire to play in the Premier League in the past which is set to play into the hands of the Gunners as they attempt to get a transfer done before the October deadline. It looks as though club bosses now have two ways that they can use Torreira in a deal for the 27-year-old, one of which being a player-swap with Diego Simeone’s Rojiblancos.
