French powerhouse reaches verbal agreement with Arsenal, confirm L'Equipe
Abou Diaby has come to the end of his Arsenal contract, and has consequently been released (via the Premier League). He isn't actually gone just yet however, as the Frenchman apparently has a verbal agreement to remain at the Emirates, according to the Daily Star. Arsenal transfer rumours Diaby has struggled with injury throughout his Arsenal career, with Dan Smith's tackle back in 2006 leaving him a shell of his former self. He has shown glimpses of real quality when fit however, quality which saw Arsene Wenger keep faith with him despite his inability to play more than a handful of games per season.
