Match report: Chelsea 4-1 Arsenal Women

WHAT HAPPENED We made a disappointing start to the Continental League Cup group stage on Wednesday night, as we were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea. Caitlin Foord scored a stunner and Malin Gut made her full debut for the club, but they were the only positives from an otherwise frustrating evening. It was an open game from the start with both teams pressing from the front - and it didn’t take long for Chelsea to open the scoring, when Magdalena Erikkson headed home from the first corner. Foord then went on to level the scores with a stunning curling effort, cutting inside and lifting the ball over Carly Telford.
