Arsenal 'interested in £45m RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate'
Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate. The 21-year-old missed the majority of last season through injury, but has since re-established himself as an important member of Julian Nagelsmann's first team at Leipzig. Sport Bild claims that a number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are interested in signing the defender, possibly as early as the January transfer window. However, Leipzig are reluctant to lose Konate, particularly with his centre-back partner Dayot Upamecano widely expected to leave the club next summer.
