Ian Wright admits Arsenal's £17m transfer mistake has left him 'devastated'

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has revealed that he has been left “devastated” after the departure of Emiliano Martinez in the summer. Martinez has excelled at Aston Villa since sealing a £17million move in September, and kept another clean sheet at Wolves on Saturday. The Argentine left after eight years in north London, in which he made just 15 Premier League appearances, as he was seeking regular playing time in order to challenge for a place in the Argentina national team. And former Gunners striker Wright has spelled out his disappointment that Martinez was allowed to leave, though he admits he is pleased to see him doing well elsewhere.
