Arsenal 'contacted' potential Mikel Arteta replacement before Burnley defeat

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta appears on borrowed time at the club following another lacklustre defeat at the Emirates over the weekend. And former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has already been contacted, according to reports in Italy. The 1-0 loss to Burnley, mainly down to a moment of madness from the sent off Granit Xhaka, means Arteta is on the brink after four consecutive league defeats on home soil. Speculation has now turned to who replaces the Spaniard at Arsenal should he get the boot.
