Aubameyang urged to ditch Arsenal captaincy after dismal start to season
Premier League pundit Andy Townsend has suggested Mikel Arteta replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Arsenal captain in order to get the best out of the striker. The Gunners have struggled this season and their form has not been helped by Aubameyang’s own poor performances. The former Borussia Dortmund star has scored scored just one Premier League goal from open play since signing a new deal back in September. Aubameyang is also the Arsenal captain tough that has not helped him find his scoring boots this season.
