Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is not expecting any "bad surprises" on deadline day with a number of players potentially leaving on loan. The Gunners have already bolstered their squad in two areas they had highlighted ahead of the transfer window opening, bringing in goalkeeper Mat Ryan and attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard on loan for the remainder of the season. They have also been able to move on unwanted players with Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos released from their contracts and Sead Kolasinac joining Schalke on loan – with his deal expiring in the summer.
