Mikel Arteta holds talks with Arsene Wenger about returning to Arsenal in new role

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has held talks with legendary manager Arsene Wenger over a sensational return to the club. Wenger, 72, left the Gunners in 2018 after spending 22 years as the club's manager. The Frenchman won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and reached one Champions League final during his time in charge of the north Londoners. He departed three years ago after supporters demanded for him to go, despite his iconic status at the Emirates. His replacement, Unai Emery, lasted just 18 months in charge before being replaced by Arteta. The Spaniard spent five seasons under Wenger at Arsenal, during which time he was made club captain.
