Mike Arteta finally signs one-year extension to stay at Arsenal
Mikel Arteta missed much of last season through injury. Mikel Arteta has signed a new one-year contract extension with Arsenal, manager Arsene Wenger said on Wednesday. Arteta, 33, had agreed to a deal in January, according to his agent, but had yet to sign the deal as the summer transfer window officially opened. The Spaniard's four-year contract he signed in 2011 expired last week, but now the defensive midfielder will stay at the Emirates for an additional season.
