Gareth Southgate gets wish as Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea avoid each other before Qatar

Gareth Southgate has got his wish with the Premier League ‘top six’ all avoiding each other in the week leading up to the World Cup. The England manager confirmed earlier this week that the FA asked the Premier League not to schedule any matches between the English giants on the last weekend before Qatar. His fears are that players will suffer extreme fatigue as a result of fixture congestion. And Southgate will count himself fortunate as Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea will all avoid playing each other the week before the highly-anticipated competition begins.
