Arsenal's Mathieu Debuchy targets strong pre-season after injury disrupted year

GETTY Mathieu Debuchy struggled with injury last season Debuchy started the season as first choice but suffered an ankle ligament injury in September which ruled him out until December. But a month later he dislocated his shoulder after an awkward fall against Stoke City which meant another lengthy spell on the sidelines. When the 29-year-old return to the team, he was unable to dislodge Spanish teen Hector Bellerin, who was enjoying an excellent season for the club. As Arsenal head to Singapore for their pre-season tour, Debuchy is determined to reach full fitness and re-establish himself in the team.
