Increased competition has improved my game, claims Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud believes the increased competition for places in attack has helped him improve his game. The Frenchman faces a battle with Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott for a spot in Arsene Wenger's first-team forward line in the coming season. The north London club have also repeatedly been linked with Edinson Cavani and Karim Benzema this summer but the former Montpellier hitman welcomes the challenges to his role as the club's go-to goals machine.
