Half-Time Report: Youngster Chuba Akpom gives Arsenal slender lead

A 30th-minute goal from Chuba Akpom has handed Arsenal a 1-0 half-time advantage in their Premier League Asia Trophy clash against a Singha All Star XI in Singapore. In what was a largely uneventful 45 minutes of pre-season action, the Gunners created the first meaningful opening of the contest in the 15th minute when youngster Alex Iwobi forced a save from Izwan Mahbud, who moments later denied Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. However, Mahbud could do little to prevent his side from falling behind 15 minutes later.
