Arsenal transfers: £16m forward linked with surprise summer exit

Turkish side Bestikas are set to make a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck according to the Daily Star. The former Man United man had a mixed time of it in his debut season at the Emirates Stadium and is by no means a permanent fixture in Arsene Wenger's starting eleven. Welbeck made 18 Premier League starts and scored just four goals and the return of Theo Walcott from long term injury could well further restrict the England international's involvement. The Daily Star claim that Welbeck is seen by Besiktas as a replacement for Demba Ba though it would be fair to say that the 24-year-old could never be described as prolific so the Arsenal man may not be the best player to make up for...
