Arsenal stadium move to Emirates Stadium cost Wenger - Usmanov

N FC's Craig Burley says despite their recent preseason success, the Gunners have work to do if they want close the gap. Arsene Wenger was hindered by the club's move to Emirates Stadium, according to club shareholder Alisher Usmanov. Arsenal moved from their previous home Highbury to the 60,432-capacity Emirates in 2006 with the project costing £390 million. The change came during a trophyless period for the Gunners, who went nine years without lifting silverware before they won the FA Cup in 2014. Usmanov, whose Red & White Holdings Group has just over a 30 percent stake in Arsenal's parent company, believes Wenger paid the price for a lack of investment from shareholders. BEST OF N...
