Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger makes transfer statement after West Ham defeat

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that he won't be tempted to panic buy after the Gunners' loss to West Ham, reports Sky Sports [via Daily Express]. The 65-year-old saw his team defeated by goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate in a performance littered with errors made by his players. However, this doesn't seem to have been enough to make him consider dipping back in to the transfer market before the window closes in September. 'West Ham were a bit ahead of us because they had played many competitive games and preparation is preparation, you never get that same intensity,' said Wenger.
