Arsenal clinch narrow win at Palace

Bouncing back from last weekend's disappointing defeat to West Ham, the Gunners opened the scoring after 15 minutes when Mesut Ozil's cross fell to striker Olivier Giroud, whose acrobatic volley flew past Palace's Alex McCarthy - the Frenchman's first goal in 625 minutes of Premier League action. However, Arsenal were pegged back just 12 minutes later following Joel Ward's crisp strike, with the Palace full-back skimming a 20-yard drive beyond a sprawling Petr Cech.
