Arsene Wenger bemoans lack of strikers & has an interesting theory

Arsene Wenger has once again defended his decision not to sign a striker this summer and bemoaned the lack of top-class forwards in the game today, with the boss blaming the high-quality pitches available around Europe as a cause of this, The Telegraph reports. Wenger believes that the focus in Europe has shifted towards possession and sharpening technique, a concept which has led to a surge in promising midfielders but few natural centre-forwards.
